Peakhurst
2024 - RESIDENTIAL - 752.5m²
This modern duplex in Sydney’s peakhurst district features a minimalist garden design that celebrates contrast—shade-tolerant textures in the front and sun-loving succulents by the pool. Early collaboration allowed us to shape a clean, contemporary landscape that complements the architectural lines while ensuring ease of maintenance.
In the front yard, layered steps and stepping stones lead through a low-profile planting scheme tailored to the shaded microclimate. Resilient, low-light species were selected to soften the built form while maintaining structure year-round. A restrained material palette and simple geometry reinforce the home’s modern identity.
The rear garden opens to full sun, where a narrow poolside planting strip is transformed into a sculptural highlight. Here, clusters of architectural succulents and groundcovers create a dry, low-maintenance border with bold form and subtle colour variation. The design not only thrives without irrigation but also visually anchors the pool as a central element of the outdoor space.
From plant specification to construction review, we worked closely with the build team to ensure the design intent was delivered with clarity and precision.
The final landscape offers quiet elegance, seasonal resilience, and a distinctly modern edge—made to thrive in Sydney’s climate with minimal upkeep.
